BRAKE DRUM
Ductile and grey iron brake drums manufactured for cars and passenger vehicles.
The brake drums are designed to take the braking effort of cars and
passenger vehicles on Indian
highways and international roads.

Brake Drums for Autombile Industry
Brake drums are cast iron components that work together with brake shoes to slow down and stop cars. When the driver applies the brakes, hydraulic pressure pushes the brake shoes against the inner surface of the drum. The friction produced converts kinetic energy into heat. Brake drums for passenger vehicles must withstand repeated heating and cooling cycles without cracking or warping. We manufacture brake drums from selected grey iron and ductile iron grades due to their excellent thermal properties and wear resistance.
We manufacture brake drums from grey iron and ductile iron grades selected for their thermal properties and wear resistance. Grey iron provides efficient heat dissipation and reduces vibration during braking, while ductile iron offers higher strength and improved impact resistance for demanding automotive applications. Our foundry carefully controls the casting process including material chemistry, pouring temperature, cooling rates, and heat treatment—to produce brake drums that maintain dimensional stability and surface integrity under the thermal stress of automotive braking systems.
